It is most definitely and permanently the season of sweater weather!

It's been raining here for what seems like 24-hours straight and it's cold and damp. It's the perfect grab-a-hot-chocolate-and-your-favourite-book-and-read-for-a-while kind of day though.

What do you like to do on rainy days? Do you avoid going out, change your schedule, and stay indoors or do you like puddle-jumping your way through the day, umbrella and soggy bags in hand?

Lately, I've been feeling that rainy days should be restricted to Sundays. There's been lots of gray days and little sunny ones and so many people are dragging their heels around. And besides, wouldn't the world slow down just a little bit if there was nothing to do on Sundays?

Does anyone else remember when stores and businesses used to be closed on Sundays? Oh, it was great. Lazy afternoons spent with family and friends enjoying uninterrupted quality time.

Ahhhhhh..... I miss those days.

Black Friday. It used to just be an American tradition and the last few years Canada seems to have firmly adopted the frenzy. North Americans everywhere today will take advantage of great pre-holiday discounts.

Work-from-home fashion (for me) is oh-so-comfortable and low maintenance makeup and hair (or pretty much how I woke up that day.) And I'm more-often-than-not wearing a cape-like something or other at my desk 'cause ... air conditioning and winter. I swear, as I write this, I'm a perfect combination of the three of these lovelies 😀

It's MINUS out there today (-2 when I woke up!) And it snowed.❄ Winter's here.... or is this just a taste?

Question for ya, Mother Nature. Where did Fall go? It seems like it started, rained for a week, and now it's over. The we're-not-in-Kansas-anymore-winds today have made all the leaves drop and this gal's missing the crispy cold but sunny days of Fall. 🍁

At least bring back the sun. Anyone else feeling like we skipped a season?

Soon I'll start a wood fire in our old-style fireplace, grab myself a drink, a good book, and some warm and fuzzy socks, and settle in for the night.

I'm off to grab my book. I doubt I'll finish it tonight though. Most likely it will be interrupted by a good 'ole hockey game. Go Leafs! 🏒

Thought I'd share it with you.

Having the most amazing lunch on the rooftop bar in one of the best Cities in the world, with some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.

I would have taken a shot of my Korean BBQ ribs with Kimchi but they were so yummy looking, I just dove in.

SO MUCH YUM!

Lucky me, huh?

I get to do it all over again tomorrow.

Family therapist, Virginia Satir says we need hugs, lots of hugs.

Today @blissdomcanada I learned a lot, ate some great food, got some awesome biz nuggets of wisdom to implement, met some old friends and made some new ones, but the VERY best part was getting hugs from total strangers!

The even better part? That by the end of the hug, they didn't feel like strangers anymore.

Why is it that some people just give hugs? Is it a culture thing or a people thing?

I wished more people did that.

I laughed a lot, cried a little, shared some funny stories, but more importantly connected with people on a level deeper than, "How are you?" and "What do you do for a living?" I love those moments, those conversations.

I could sit and talk for hours to people who care more about people, than stuff.

And isn't that what life is about?... moments!?! Thanks, Blissdom ... what a day!
